Ha, but I would love to see a NY/NJ derby!

From what I have heard, it was a little rough for the non NJ-based players during preseason, particularly with the intense snowfall we had this past winter.

Who are you? What is this blog? How have you managed to combine all of my favorite things?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11035338984130441586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6165780438929797577.post-30575985041124773242009-10-06T23:29:17.785-07:002009-10-06T23:29:17.785-07:00Welcome Tanya! My point was not to suggest they be in NYC, but more that they not be represented as a NYC team - let's add another team & have a solid East Coast Corridor rivalry (DC/Philly/NJ/NYC/Boston!). I'm dreaming.

Seriously, I've always been fascinated by what it must be like for esp international players to live in a place like New Brunswick. It has its charms but, well, it takes some work to find them!Jennifer Doylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05004554513454749517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6165780438929797577.post-71238691582378190472009-10-06T13:53:19.348-07:002009-10-06T13:53:19.348-07:00I agree -- why isn't this team closer to NYC? ...I agree -- why isn't this team closer to NYC? Not only so that the games are more accessible (as much as I love WPS, finding a car and driving out to Rutgers, only to find no beer is served, is a pain and the train direction suggest taking a cab to the field) but players would feel much less isolated if they could live in New York and its environs. Even northern new jersey would make more sense. I just discovered this blog, am excited to read more.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11035338984130441586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6165780438929797577.post-30915333189390969222009-08-23T12:15:56.935-07:002009-08-23T12:15:56.935-07:00I needed one of those split jerseys featured in my...I needed one of those split jerseys featured in my US/Mexico posts! I am born NYC, raised NJ, been living in LA for ten years. I am not the biggest fan of the Sol owners, I hate the Amway sponsorship but I love the players.

As for their form in the past few matches - not sure if they were losing steam, or if their opponents were stronger. Three of their last four were played on the road. That surely has something to do with it.

The actually won against Boston - I've corrected that....Jennifer Doylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05004554513454749517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6165780438929797577.post-84996026641330406582009-08-23T11:38:08.653-07:002009-08-23T11:38:08.653-07:00This is actually a great song by Latifah! On the other hand it sounds like "fair weather" fan time for Sol and Marta? Did Sol really lose their form from the last few games?Gambitnoreply@blogger.com
